well some stuff happened
i live in toronto now. it's pretty cool. i work for the same lame company though. but hey i just got a raise and i'm applying for a promotion
i like hockey.. i guess that's not something that "happened" but i haven't paid any real attention to hockey since i was 14 maybe. until now. the end of the nhl lockout somehow renewed my interest. my favorite team is the montreal canadiens
toronto is a very nice city and i like it very much. it's very big but the public transit is good, clean and fast. there are lots of interesting things all over the place. i live in a nice neighborhood by a scenic river, but it's also close to the subway and it's quite urban. the people are very nice, unlike the toronto jerk stereotype, which i was expecting to encounter. the only people i don't like are the toronto maple leafs, i really hate them and all their stupid jerk fans, they can fuck right off
just kidding about the fans. i still hate the team though
another other cool thing about toronto is that i can still watch the news in french on tv if i want
i haven't really made any friends here yet, but i have 2 friends through shannon, who are really great. they invite us over for snacks, hockey and/or karaoke now and then. it's always an awesome time with them. there's also
janeandsimple, who i've known for a couple of years now, she just moved to town last month, and also now works with me. we should hang out more
besides following hockey i've developed 2 other hobbies since moving here, and they are: hunting down wireless hotspots all over town, and playing with livecds on my laptop. i also like to clean the apartment
i'm in full blown beard mode right now. it's the most uncomfortable thing ever, but i've made a commitment and i'm not shaving until christmas. i guess it looks pretty badass though. still, i can't wait to be clean shaven again.
i miss montreal with all my heart. soon i will be back visiting for christmas and new year's. let's make some dates, eh?
